Hide pinyin before reading the Chinese word; hide the characters before writing from the meaning. Then make a sentence for a real China travel task. Mark each skill separately, record the error and choose the next review date. A correct reading does not mean you can write or use the word.
Review after a delay and adjust the next date from your actual recall. There is no fixed interval that guarantees mastery. This is a manual log, not an automatic scheduler.
