Chinese book edition record

Compare two Chinese books using their copyright pages. Record ISBN, title, author, translator, publisher, edition, publication date, printing, printing date and binding in separate fields.

Copy the printed Chinese wording before interpreting it. 版次 identifies the edition; 印次 identifies the printing. The fictional example keeps the first edition and ISBN but compares the first printing in March 2024 with the third printing in October 2026. Leave a missing translator field empty instead of guessing.

Yellow workbook cells are editable. The result compares exact text only; use the online tool to interpret Chinese ordinals and check ISBNs. Matching ISBNs do not prove identical contents, printing or authenticity. Keep a photo or catalogue reference in the notes. The example is not a real bibliographic record.
